"Why should I be studying for a future that soon will be no more, when no one is doing anything whatsoever to save that future? And what is the point of learning facts within the school system when the most important facts given by the finest science of that same school system clearly means nothing to our politicians and our society?" -Greta Thunberg

Student-led strike for action on the climate crisis.

In 2018 Greta Thunberg began striking from school to bring awareness to the climate crisis, thus beginning the global Fridays for Future movement. Students around the world have followed her lead by striking for climate, including here in Ashland, WI. Each Friday, we leave school and walk to City Hall, where we spend an hour peacefully protesting to call for action on the climate crisis. We encourage supporters of all ages to join us from 12:45-1:45 PM.
